Charlie Long Strapped Tote – Whenever life becomes overwhelming, I spend time looking at my painting of Charlie. He’s led a long and useful life, and now he’s retired and livin’ the dream. It’s late on a Sunday morning. He’s finished brunch and he’s strolling down to the pasture. Maybe he’ll indulge in a nap, although it’s a shame miss a second of such a lovely summer day.
This image is from a painting that hangs in my studio. Of all the art I’ve ever created, Charlie is my favorite. It was done in a five day workshop many years ago in the middle of horse country in Millwood Virginia. Oh, the luxury of spending five days painting there!
